MIPIM is a 4-day real estate exhibition, conference and networking event gathering 26800 international property professionals, in Cannes. This year, over 1000 UK companies will be attending! Here’s how to make the most of your time at this years busy event:
1. MIPIM Online platform
After registering for the event, you should have received your log in details for the online platform via email. This will give you access to a variety of information - attending companies and their profiles; industry insights and exclusive resources; conference topics and speakers profiles. Plan ahead and use this information to map out your time. First, block out the times for the talks you plan on attending. Then, direct message the companies you are interested in working with and set up times to meet. Use the floor plan to map out where the talks are and where you’ll be meeting your connections so you aren’t running across the venue every hour!
2. CHEATSHEETS
If your work is mainly done in the UK, this is for you!
MIPIM provides a pdf list of attending companies - 1047 of which are UK companies (as of 1st March 2022). Luckily for you, I’ve put these companies into a spreadsheet in alphabetical order so that you (or your VA) can plan your summit effectively. Sift through and delete the companies you’re not interested in meeting. For those that you are interested in, use the notes column to add if you’ve invited them for a meeting or perhaps add your notes from after the conference. It’s yours to use as you wish!
I’ve also noted the UK companies who will be exhibiting, along with their sector and website link. No need to waste your time talking to companies you don’t need - you’ll already recognise who they are, what they do and whether it serves you/your company.

3. TECHNOLOGY
I have no doubt that there will be marketing stationery provided in abundance but use technology to your advantage: scan business cards directly into your phone using camcard, connect on LinkedIn or share your details via contxt. Type your own notes using Evernote or record voice notes (which are then converted to text) using Otter. Not only is it more eco-friendly, it means you don’t have to worry about keeping track of 1000s of pieces of paper!
4. Block out some down time
Whether you’re on your own or travelling with a team, make sure you take some time out to enjoy a lovely lunch at the harbour or an early morning walk on the beach. Too often, we force ourselves to go 100miles an hour at working events, resulting in us being exhausted and needing a week to recover! Not sure where to go? Check out 314 Plage, La Petite Mason, Baoli, La Mandala or Bijou Plage.
